CONCRETE TILE ROOF REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENT

Concrete tile roofs are common on older Christchurch homes. As they age, the tiles, flashings, mortar and other components of the roofing system can deteriorate and require increasing amounts of maintenance.

Cracked or broken tiles, loose ridge tiles, deteriorating pointing, damaged flashings and recurring leaks are all signs that your roof may need attention.

DCM Roofing provides concrete tile roof repairs and replacement throughout Christchurch and Canterbury. Where the problem is localised, repairs such as replacing damaged tiles, repairing flashings, or re-bedding and pointing ridge tiles may be all that is required.

However, older roofs can reach a point where ongoing repairs are no longer the most practical option. If the roof has widespread deterioration, repeated leaks or is requiring regular repairs, we can assess its condition and discuss whether replacement would provide a better long-term solution.

CONCRETE TILE TO STEEL ROOF CONVERSIONS

If your concrete tile roof has reached the end of its serviceable life, replacing the tiles with long-run steel roofing can be a practical alternative. DCM Roofing can install either corrugated or trapezoidal profile roofing, depending on the property and your requirements.

DCM Roofing can manage the complete conversion, including removal of the existing concrete tiles and installation of new long-run Colorsteel or Colorcote roofing in either corrugated or trapezoidal profiles. We can also take care of associated roofing work, including flashings, spouting, penetrations, skylights and other weatherproofing details as required.

ROOF REPAIRS OR ROOF REPLACEMENT?

A leaking roof does not necessarily mean you need a new roof. In many cases, a localised problem can be repaired without replacing the entire roof.
