IT MAKES SENSE THAT A PROFESSIONAL ROOFING COMPANY HAS THEIR OWN SCAFFOLDING.

When we work on residential and light commercial roofing projects, we make sure we use the appropriate safe scaffolding, as required in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and Best Practice guidelines.

The range of scaffolding products we have available for hire is extensive. Hire fees include both delivery and installation. We pride ourselves on exceptional, fast service, competitive pricing, outstanding workmanship and prompt delivery to site.

If you’re not sure what scaffolding you need for your at-height project, we’re happy to visit site and calculate your requirements. That way, we can recommend the most appropriate scaffolding solution.

Our height-access solutions for residential properties include:

  • Fixed scaffolding – provides a safe work platform at height.
  • Mobile scaffolding – as the name implies, this scaffolding is on wheels and can be moved easily, as required. This can be used for smaller jobs, where fixed scaffolding isn’t requisite.
  • Edge protection – a temporary barrier used as a safeguard on roofs with gentler angles.
  • Shrink wrapping – can be required if a building needs temporary weatherproofing.
  • Pedestrian gantries and public access walkways.

WE’VE GOT IT

UP HIGH, WHEN WE NEED IT

Do you know what’s frustrating? Being ready to start work on a roofing project but having to wait on the right gear. That’s why, from the earliest days of DCM Roofing, we consciously chose to build our own collection of top-notch scaffolding and access solutions. Now, we never wait for sub-contractors to get it up. We are always in total control of your roof.

BALANCE

PROVIDING A FIRM FOOTING

Another advantage of using scaffolding is balance. It’s difficult enough working at height, but when you’re trying to stay up a ladder at the same time, it can get precarious. The firm footing that scaffolding provides allows us to concentrate on the precision workmanship that roofing requires. Plus, it helps us get your roofing project completed more quickly.

Timeliness

Avoid delays waiting on a separate scaffolding team – we have our own gear ready.

Protection

We look after your roof and landscaping, our scaffolding is designed for roof-work.

Best practice

Because we are professional roofers, our scaffolding follows industry best practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT KIND OF SCAFFOLDING DO I NEED?

We can’t answer that until we understand your roofing project. We know all the regulations for safe scaffolding, so you can leave it to us.

AREN’T THERE RULES FOR SCAFFOLDING?

The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and Health and Safety in Employment Regulations 1995 make sure our scaffold is fit for purpose.

CAN YOU USE SCAFFOLDING ON A HILL SECTION?

Yes. That’s why erecting scaffolding is a specialised skill – it takes experience to know how best to cope with sloping ground and gardens.

I’VE SEEN ROOFERS USE A HARNESS. DO YOU?

Sure do! If we are working at a height greater than five metres from the ground, we are required to use a harness. So it depends on the job.

WHAT IS ROOF EDGE PROTECTION?

It’s a barrier that physically prevents people or objects from falling off a roof. You may have heard it called safety rails or guard rails.

CAN I ERECT THE SCAFFOLDING I HIRE FROM YOU?

No. Sorry.

Iain inspected our roof for a problem leak, came up with a good practical solution and it was quickly sorted. Thanks DCM team.
