It’s a new roof winter

It’s only just getting started. Winter 2025 is going to be long and wet, with regular polar blasts thrown in for good measure. It’s years like this one when old, worn-out roofs really let you down. A leaky, drafty, damp house is just not a pleasant or healthy environment to live in. But you don’t have to!

At DCM Roofing we work fast and efficiently, and we can re-roof your home now.

There are several reasons why working with us is a good choice.

The Roofing Association of New Zealand

With today’s innovative architectural designs and the introduction of new and different roof systems, roofing is a job for licensed specialists. To qualify for RANZ membership DCM Roofing has to meet stringent standards that sort out the professionals from the cowboys. Anyone who’s not a RANZ member should not be let within a mile of your roof!!

Licensed Building Practitioners

Work that relates to weather tightness is often Restricted Building Work, which legally must be carried out by a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP). DCM Roofing is an LBP, so you know our work will comply with government regulations and the policy conditions of your insurance company. We also provide all the documentation required by your local council or building consent authority.

No cowboys allowed!

All LBPs are issued a licence ID, so you know exactly who you’re dealing with. You can check our credentials by scanning the QR code on our licence, or by searching us on the public register. Your council also needs to know the license details of any LBPs involved in any Restricted Building Work before it will issue your code of compliance – but don’t worry, we’ll help you with all that.

By the way, LBPs aren’t just roofers, they can also be carpenters, block layers, designers, plasterers, or foundation specialists.

NZ Home Heating Association

We sell and install beautiful, warm, solid fuel fires. And because fire installation is another specialist job that falls under Restricted Building Work, we are members of the relevant trade association. In this case, it’s the NZ Home Heating Association, which is dedicated to providing the solid fuel home heating industry with ongoing professional development and advice on promoting renewable and sustainable sources of energy.
